Do you have new Anthropologie clothing that you have never worn and you are ready to find them a new home? Are you ready to purge your closet of Anthropologie clothing that you will never wear again? Well, we would love to meet with you!
At Katie + Hubbell, we want to make the selling process easy and a fair deal for both of us. We want our sellers to feel like they received the most money for the least amount of work.
To start, there is no need to make an appointment. Simply bring in your Anthropologie clothing and a store associate will inventory your items. All items should have their original Anthropologie tags. A maximum of 10 items per week per customer will be accepted.
Upon drop-off, your mailing address and email address will be required and your signature acknowledging the process for selling your clothing to us will be required. It is just like dropping your clothes off at the dry cleaners!
Within a few days (currently on Fridays) you will be emailed two offers:
1. A cash offer that can be picked up in store or mailed to you. A physical check will be provided in both cases. Your ID will be required for pickup to ensure your name matches the check.
2. A store credit offer (always 10% more than the cash offer) that will be credited to your account for future use, similar to a gift card.
How much will a seller be offered?
Generally, we will offer you 25% of the amount we believe we can sell your item in our store. For example:
A dress that is brand new with tags, that was originally sold by Anthropologie for $158.00, we would sell in our store for $79-89. We would then offer to you a price of $20-22 for that dress.
If neither offer works for you, you may pick up your clothing at your leisure. Any items left more than 21 days from the date the offer was emailed to you will be deemed sold to us, and a check will be mailed to you as stated in the cash offer. Items will immediately be put on the floor and posted online to the public.
How to increase my chances that an item will be accepted?
- Unless your item is a very special item, all clothing should be no more than 2-3 years old.
- Special items are more likely to get an offer. A basic Pilcro t-shirt is probably not going to get an offer but a lace, puff sleeved Maeve top may get an offer. A basic tank dress from Daily Practice is probably not going to get an offer, but floral Somerset Maxi may get an offer.
- Items with fading, shrinkage, stains, odors, broken zippers, tears, altered hems, missing parts, holes, or missing labels, we will not be made an offer.
- Only clothing will be accepted at this point, excluding swimwear, sleep, and lingerie. Shoes are not accepted.
- Sweaters, sweatshirts and jackets are only accepted in September, October, November and December.
- Shorts and short rompers are not accepted in September, October, November, December.
- We LOVE dresses and cute tops! The more the merrier.
